Pieces of Eight Pirate Cruise

Join the friendly pirates aboard the Pieces of Eight pirate ship pillaging and plundering the Gulf of Mexico from the shores of Fort Myers Beach. Pieces of Eight is a 90 minute swashbuckling pirate show onboard a 65ft. replica Spanish galleon.

Bay Oaks Recreation Center

Bay Oaks Recreation Center is located in the heart of beautiful Fort Myers Beach. It offers outdoor tennis courts, baseball fields, swimming pool & water park, disk golf course and a small playground. Matanzas Pass preserve is within walking distance. Indoor amenities include a weight room, basketball courts, pickle ball, yoga, and a variety of exercise classes. Special events such as Fright Night occur periodically.

Matanzas Pass Preserve

A perfect place for a quiet trail walk away from the beach activity. Enjoy experiencing the nature of Fort Myers Beach and you might see some unique birds and other wildlife. Be sure to have some bug spray on as the mosquitos and noseeums can be quite active at different times of the year.

Times Square

Times Square is considered the heart of Estero Island’s downtown. Full of shops and restaurants, Times Square features outdoor dining, street performers, and plenty of spots to sit down and relax.

The area is adjacent to the Fort Myers Beach Pier, the best place to watch our astounding sunsets.

 

Ostego Bay Marine Science Center

Welcome to the Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center located at 718 Fisherman’s Wharf on San Carlos Island in Fort Myers Beach, Fl. For 26 years, the Center provides a Marine Science Experience through interactive exhibits, aquariums, touch tank, one of kind collections and unique displays. Open Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with both guided and self-guided tours.

Bowditch Point Park

Bowditch Point Regional Park is 17 acres that is located at the northern tip of Estero Island. It is actually a dual use facility in which approx. 7 acres are a developed park for passive recreational use and the remaining 10 acres a restoration/preserve area.

The gulf front is more active while still providing a relaxed atmosphere for walkers, swimmers and sunbathers. Walking trails, through the restoration/preserve area, carry you through varied environments and offers an excellent opportunity for bird watching while being highlighted by panoramic views of Estero Bay.

Beach Theater

The only movie theater on the island, with a great selection of the newest and hottest movies. You can also have dinner here. View their website for latest showings and times.

The Pier & Lynn Hall Memorial Park

Lynn Hall Memorial Park and the Pier are owned, operated and maintained by Lee County.  The park features various amenities to serve its guests:

  • Outside showers
  • Bathrooms
  • New playground for children
  • Covered picnic areas
  • Nature kiosk with information about local plants, animals, and land formations

The 560-foot pier offers a fantastic spot for fishing and viewing the Gulf of Mexico.

The Mound House

Restored house museum atop an ancient Calusa Indian shell mound, with artifacts & cultural programs.

Built in 1921, The Mound House is the oldest standing structure on Estero Island (Fort Myers Beach
